Charleston
We left Fernandina on Monday the 5th going outside with course Charleston. During the night the wind shifted from SE to NE, a low pressure system passed over us. We arrived at Charleston at 3pm. A strong current led to two accidents where sailing vessels did bump into the dock and other vessels. Heimu was not involved. On Friday we continued in the ICW towards Georgetown SC. Tomorrow we will start towards Southport which is 300 mls south of Norfolk. Pos. 33.2140N, 79.1648W
Montag am 5. Mai sind wir im Atlantic von Fernandina nach Charleston gesegelt. In der Nacht drehte der Wind von SE auf NE als ein Tiefdruck System ueber uns hinwegzog. Um 3 Uhr Nachmittags am naechsten Tag sind wir dann in Charleston angekommen. Eine starke Stroemung im Hafen fuehrte zu mehreren kollisionen bei denen Segel Yachten in die Docks getrieben wurden und auch in andere Boote. Heimu war nicht beteiligt. Am Freitag sind wir dann im ICW nach Georgetown motored. Morgen gehts weiter nach Southport von wo es noch 300 ml bis Norfolk sind. Pos. 33.2140N, 79.1648W
