We arrived in Beaufort in the afternoon - after a full Day in the fog -70F and sunny feels just like summer in Maine. A mechanic will check the new engine (missing buzz when it gets shut off) on Friday morning. Hopefully the tropical storm in the south has decided what it is going to do and we can start going offshore or along the coast further south. We met Jutta and Heiko from the German Yacht Momo in Belhaven. http://www.sy-momo.de/ They are cruising since 10 Years! Wir sind in Beaufort am Nachmittag angekommen - nach einem ganzen Tag im Nebel - 20 Grad C und sonnig fuehlt sich an wie Sommer in Maine. Ein Mechaniker wird am Freitag morgen nochmal den Motor ueberpruefen. Der Tropische Storm im Sueden hat bis dahin hoffentlich entschieden wo er hin will und wir koennen dann raus aufs Meer, durch den Golfstrom und weiter in Richtung Bahamas.
